I am Allene Hatherell, an independent psychotherapist based in Glasgow. I take your privacy seriously and aim to collect and use personal information only where it is necessary for my professional practice. This notice explains how personal information submitted through this website or when making an initial enquiry is collected, used and retained.

Information collected through this website

If you contact me through the website enquiry form, I may collect:

  • your name;

  • your email address;

  • your telephone number, if you choose to provide it;

  • the type of enquiry you are making; and

  • the information you include in your message.

 

Please do not include detailed medical, psychological or other sensitive personal information in the website contact form. How I use enquiry information

Information submitted through the website is used to:

​

  • respond to your enquiry;

  • arrange an introductory call where requested;

  • discuss potential therapy, Sandplay or clinical supervision;

  • respond to professional referral enquiries; and

  • manage necessary correspondence relating to your enquiry.

 

Your information will not be used for unrelated marketing purposes.

How long enquiry information is kept

If your enquiry does not progress to an introductory call, assessment, therapy, supervision or another professional relationship, your enquiry and associated correspondence will normally be deleted within 30 days of our last contact.

If you become a client or supervisee, information required for your care, professional relationship and record-keeping will be managed separately in accordance with my professional and legal obligations.

The ICO does not prescribe a universal retention period for enquiries. It requires organisations to keep personal data for no longer than necessary and to be able to justify the retention periods they choose. Information Commissioner's Office

Website forms and email

Website enquiries are sent to my dedicated therapy email address. The website is hosted and managed using Wix. Information submitted through Wix forms may also be processed and stored within Wix's systems.

I aim to minimise the information collected through the website and do not ask you to provide detailed clinical information through the enquiry form.

Sharing your information

I do not sell personal information. Information may be processed by service providers necessary to operate the website and communications, including Wix and my email provider.

 

Personal information will not ordinarily be shared with other organisations at the initial enquiry stage unless there is a lawful reason or obligation to do so.

This website may use cookies and similar technologies required for the website to function. Where non-essential cookies or analytics technologies are used, visitors should be given appropriate information and choices before those technologies are used.
